Terms of Use
Effective October 1, 2026
These terms cover the Houdini website at houdi.ni, the Houmanoids website at www.houmanoids.com, and Houdini accounts. Houmanoids, Inc. (“Houmanoids,” “we,” “us”) runs all three. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
Your organization's agreement comes first
Houdini is sold as Robots-as-a-Service. We deploy, operate and maintain robots for each customer under a signed agreement. That agreement governs the service itself. Where it and these terms differ, the agreement wins.
Who may use Houdini
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Houdini account. If you use Houdini for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf. Each customer organization decides who on its team has access and what each person can do.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at hello@houmanoids.com. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts people, property or a robot at risk.
What you may not do
When you use the websites or Houdini, do not:
- break the law, or use Houdini to harass, stalk or watch anyone in a way the law forbids;
- reach an account, a robot, a video feed or data you are not authorized to reach;
- drive or command a robot unless the customer has given you that access, or ignore the safety instructions that come with it;
- get around access controls, probe for weaknesses, or interfere with the websites, Houdini or a robot;
- send malware, or flood the websites or Houdini with automated traffic;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer our software, except where the law allows it;
- pretend to be someone else.
What is ours and what is yours
The websites, the Houdini software, the Houdini and Houmanoids names and logos, and what we publish belong to Houmanoids or the people we license them from. These terms let you use them for their intended purpose and nothing more.
What you or your organization put into Houdini, such as site maps, patrol routes and settings, stays yours. You let us host, copy and process it only as needed to run Houdini for you and your organization.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Text messages
A Houdini site can have its own phone number for text messages. Staff whom a customer lists as contacts for a site can text that number to ask for a robot task. We text only people the customer has listed as contacts for the site, with their mobile number, who have agreed to receive these texts. Those texts cover tasks, confirmations and alerts at the site. We have not started sending texts yet; this section applies once we do. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle the numbers and messages.
- Message frequency varies with the activity at your site.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving texts from a site's number. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@houmanoids.com.
- We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Links to other sites
The websites link to other sites, such as video hosts and booking pages. We do not control those sites, and their own terms and policies apply.
No warranty for the websites
We work to keep the websites and Houdini accurate and available, but we provide them “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Any promise about the service itself is in your organization's agreement, not here.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Houmanoids is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the websites or a Houdini account, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims under these terms is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). This section does not change what your organization's agreement says about the service itself.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute about them goes to the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas, whose jurisdiction you and we accept.
This does not take away any protection that the consumer or privacy laws of your own state give you and that cannot be waived by agreement. Robots-as-a-Service at a customer's property are governed by that customer's agreement with us, including the law it chooses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If you keep using the websites or Houdini after that, the new terms apply.
